King James Brown

King James Brown is a man that pays tribute to the original James Brown ( May 3, 1933 – December 25, 2006) whom we know as the Godfather of Soul. He is gone but not forgotten. King James Brown performs and sings James Brown's songs. It's almost like having the original James Brown back again. King James has the Godfather's look and image. He has a voice and sounds like James Brown. King James also moves like the Godfather of Soul.

Where did I find out about King James Brown? I had seen a video on YouTube of him performing at Xen Lounge in Studio City California. When I first saw him, I thought that he was pretty special because he had singing talent. So he is more than an impersonator of the Godfather. King James has talent of his own and has made a song of his own titled, “Don't Fight the Funk”. His style of music is like James Brown, and I think that's a good thing for those of us that miss James. There are many of us that will never let go of old school music. King James Brown has brought back old school with a new song and music. It's like having James Brown (Soul Brother Number 1) around. Listening to King James helps to keep James Brown's legacy alive.

People seem to love to hear King James Brown and seem to love watching him perform. He puts on shows and performs in places like Harvelle's Long Beach, Long Beach, California. Tickets are purchased. He is now in the studio making more new music. I cannot wait to hear what he has. King James seems to be living up to the name that he holds. The only thing that I see that may be different is his day is totally different than in the days of James Brown. It was hard to get radio to play a record sometimes in the Godfather's day, and he didn't have YouTube, iTunes, and social media. Some things may be a little easier now today, but things can be still hard to do. I believe that King James Brown is a promising guy. I think it would be nice to see him in movies and commercials. He has the looks and talent.

To introduce King James Brown to some of you that do not know him, I made podcasts about him at Spreaker. In one podcast, I tried imitating his voice.

It was a lot of fun and the voice sounded as if it could have been him as you listen to the message. It's just like watching and listening to an actor become someone else that you soon forget that the actor is not the real person. I love writing and podcasting about King James. It soothes the sorrow of missing the Godfather os soul. Yet and still, there is only one James Brown, but I'm still happy to have King James Brown. He has brought back the Godfather's look and sound. I believe that the Godfather would be proud to see someone remember him the way King James Brown does.
