After a Disappointing Album Cycle Little Mix Just Bounced Back

Who would have thought a rip off could sound so good?

Steady, Are you Ready? Well no I wasn't ready if you want the truth.

Little Mix are back, and the girls show no signs of slowing down.

When LM5 dropped, it felt like the girls were trying to market themselves for an American audience. Understandable, given how long the ladies have been around. Whilst they have had some limited success in the States, most of their success has been in their homeland, the UK. Compared to their previous efforts, LM5 felt like manufactured pop at its worst. It felt like the girls were singing what they thought people wanted to hear, rather than what was true to them. The best thing about the whole era is the fact that it didn't last long. Thank God they didn't try and repackage it as a deluxe edition. Can you imagine? Even the album art was basic AF. Let's just blame that whole era on Simon Cowell, and the SYCO family and move on.

Seven months have passed since the disappointing Nicki Minaj assisted "Woman Like Me" dropped, and in comes "Bounce Back." Sampling the Soul II Soul hit, "Back To Life" the girls sing those perfect harmonies over a stomping beat that makes me want to buy a wig just so I can have it snatched.

At this point I am "wetter than a bayou" as Leigh would say. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT A BAYOU IS, OMG NEW WORDS! I CANNOT TAKE THIS SLAY.

"You gon make me have to bring the bounce back" sings Miss Nelson in that sultry voice that makes me want to leave my boyfriend, and have a lesbian fling with her. By all means, feel free to bring the bounce back as long as it sounds this good.

Can we also take this moment to appreciate how good Perrie looks with short hair OMG!!!!

Leanne is a babe isn't she? She has really come into her own since X Factor. It's like watching my child grow up, leave home, and live their best life. I always felt like she was scared to be herself and just let loose. In this video, it feels like she has finally embraced herself. That twerking was on point fam. I'm jealous.

As for Jade, how can you not love her? I always felt she was shy AF, but every time I see her i'm like "OK I AM SORRY I TAKE IT BACK, PLEASE STOP NOW," because all she seems to be doing lately is snapping.

It's been amazing watching the confidence of these girls grow and transpire into amazing music. Should the girls ever decide to go solo, I can't see a reason why they can't all have successful careers.

Overall, this song is a SMASH. If it doesn't go to #1 across the world I will cry myself to sleep for 40 winters. This is one summer song that cannot afford to be slept on. From the harmonies and lyrical structure, to that breakdown before the final chorus, the girls are back, and they want everyone to know it.

Like they say, if it ain't broke don't fix it. The girls don't need a high profile collab (Yes you, Nicki Fraudaj) to assume world domination. The girls can do that all by themselves. The only thing they ever needed is what they have always had: each other. We can all learn a thing or two from that.
