A Review of Joyce Manor's Fifth Studio Album
I think one of the most cop-out arguments when someone doesn’t like a band’s new record is because they say all their music sounds the same. Despite that, I’ll be honest in saying I definitely would think of Joyce Manor’s early work in that same light. Cody definitely stepped outside of that bubble and their most recent record, Million Dollars to Kill Me, followed suit.

Mental Health Awareness: What Can We Do Better?
Conversations about mental health can go many different ways, and people have all kinds of different attitudes about it. Although a stigma still remains around mental illness, many people have been brave enough to share their stories in an effort to eliminate the hazy outlook on it. Despite how far society has come, there are still some issues that should be brought to our attention when it comes to dealing with depression, anxiety, and other mental illnesses.

The Night He Came Home
The first horror movie I ever watched with my parents was Halloween when I was 10 years old. My dad wanted me to see it, and despite my mom's reluctance, the three of us watched it together. I remember being scared but at the same time thinking it was such a cool movie. The special effects were nothing to brag about and many would just describe it as just another one of those slasher films, but what makes it stand out to me is the suspense that you feel throughout the entire film. The eerie music, the unsuspected suspenseful surprises, and the heavy sounds of Michael Meyers' breath as the film ends... all of those little things are really what ties the movie together and makes it a classic horror flick.

And in the Death of Her Reputation, She Felt Truly Alive
In light of Taylor Swift winning three awards at the American Music Awards last week, I thought it was a perfect time to revisit the time I *finally* saw her perform live. This night ended up being one of many nights on a sold-out tour that crushed all previous stadium tour records by a female solo artist in history.

Here’s to Now & to Nothing Else
As The Maine's lovely, little, lonely album era is coming to an end, I've been reflecting on the album and listening to it more than ever. If you haven't heard of The Maine, or only know them from their Warped-Tour style music from 2008, then I highly recommend you give their newest record a listen.
