'The Girl in the Ice' by Robert Bryndza Review
I used to commute to Coventry by train, almost every day, for three years, to get my degree. Of course, train stations have WHSmith’s; WHSmith’s has books. I had finished early from university one day, so I decided to browse all the new books that WHSmith’s had to offer whilst waiting for my train home. They were doing a deal: Buy one book, get one half price. Obviously, I couldn’t turn that deal down. Who would? It would be blasphemous to do so! (Well, this was almost two years ago, and the books have been sitting on my shelf gathering dust until I finally forced myself to pick it up and read it.)

'The Chalk Man': C.J. Tudor Review
I noticed this book as I was browsing WHSmiths at Birmingham Airport. I always like to take a gander at the books they have in their recommended, best selling, and half price sections. However, this book was harmoniously shoved with the magazines on the other side of the library section. That’s what caught my eye, the fact that it was propped in such an odd place. The front cover pulled me in further, telling my brain to reach out and grab it. Furthermore, Stephen King had read it. Stephen King. Anything recommended by him must be good, I thought. So, of course, I did pick it up, to the bemusement of my partner who was going to pay for it.

Never Underestimate the Power of Music
Music is one of those topics that sounds easy to talk about, but when it comes down to it, it leaves you speechless. Heck, it was difficult to write this article. It isn't one of those topics that you can research and find the answers to, because it's too complex for a definitive conclusion. Listeners and creators come to their own conclusions about music; it's individuality within it's own rights, it's powerful in it's own unique way, but how does music exhibit such power in 3 minutes or more? I’ve come up with a few reasons why music shouldn’t be underestimated for it’s power down below…
