There are more pressing issues in the world which need our attention right now, but now and then, the depressing aspects of life are overtaken by the interesting and highly publicized feuds between celebrities. Just like the infamous one between America's sweetheart - Taylor Swift, and the king and queen of Reality TV and internet - Kimye.

In February, Twitter was on fire again when Kanye's song 'Famous' came out, and the explicit lyrics naturally would receive reasonable ire from T. Swift, her Swifters, and her Squad.

"I feel like me and Taylor still might have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.”

However, Kim Kardashian was quick to defend her husband and spoke openly to GQ that Taylor knew about the lyrics, and even said that there's proof of it.

“She totally approved that, she totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn't. I swear, my husband gets so much shit for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved.”

As with the case of all celebrity gossips, this could be just another case of he said/she said, or is it? Twitter exploded when Kim Kardashian released a snapchat video of the 'proof' of Taylor Swift and Kanye West's phone call conversation.

The internet went on to take sides and tear Swift down for lying - cue the hashtags #KimExposedTaylorParty. Kim Kardashian holding back the 'proof' and releasing it on a very specific day (KUWTK episode, and Snake Day) immediately got the internet's attention (coincidentally, 1989 is also the year of the snake).

Wait it's legit National Snake Day?!?!?They have holidays for everybody, I mean everything these days!— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) July 17, 2016

After Kim's snap, Taylor responded to it as how you would know she would, although she might have known about this all along, before responding...

Swift is not a stranger to controversy, and recently her ex-beau Calvin Harris, also went on a Twitter rant calling out the songstress' cutthroat media peeps.

But in this industry, as with almost everything else, their celebrity friends took sides - and I've separated it to Team Kardashian, Team Swift and Team Neutral. Take a look at them below.

Team Taylor is the side of Taylor's friends and other celebrities who dismiss this *petty* feud because there are more important things than celeb beef anyway.

Team Taylor

Selena Gomez

A core member of Taylor's squad, Selena Gomez took to Twitter to defend her bestie in a series of tweets. But still, people were giving her a hard time for 'not practicing what she preaches'.

UNICEF USA

I'm all for awareness and bringing attention to a worthy cause, but Selena Gomez has been working as a UNICEF Ambassador since 2009 so we should all hold off from attacking her because she has probably helped more people in impoverished countries more than some of us ever did in our entire lives.

Martha Hunt

Like Selena, the Victoria's Secret Model supported her friend by tweeting a call for peace.

It's pathetic how quick our culture is to sensationalize a fabricated story..— Martha Hunt (@MarthaHunt) July 18, 2016
Take interest in the real problems going on. Spread love.— Martha Hunt (@MarthaHunt) July 18, 2016

Chloë Grace Moretz

This wasn't the first time Moretz criticized Kim K. Back in March, she has also gotten in a feud with Kim. After giving her opinion on the KK + T.S. feud, she ignited the ire of Kim's sis, Khloe.

Everyone in this industry needs to get their heads out of a hole and look around to realize what's ACTUALLY happening in the REAL world— Chlo Grace Moretz (@ChloeGMoretz) July 18, 2016
Stop wasting your voice on something so petulant and unimportant— Chlo Grace Moretz (@ChloeGMoretz) July 18, 2016

It's a natural instinct to protect one's family member, but still be cautious.

At this point, pretty much the majority of the internet who has been updated with celebrity nonsense would side with the 'truth' which in this case, would be the Kardashian-West team, or pretty much any team hellbent on 'exposing' Taylor. Here are the celebs who have (low-key or not) expressed their allegiance for the power couple.

Team Kardashian

Demi Lovato

PerezHilton

Demi Lovato hasn't been mum about how she "doesn't get along with" Taylor Swift. Now, although Demi hasn't tweeted anything yet (read: not sided with anyone), she 'liked' a tweet saying 'I LOVE KIM KARDASHIAN', affirming that she might be on Team Kimye after all.

He says he feels 'conned' by America's sweetheart, and actually apologized to Kim and Kanye!

Dinah Jane

Perez Hilton

Like Demi, the Fifth Harmony singer just 'liked' a tweet.

Filed under Team Neutral are celebs who have not chimed in - but are also not on Team Taylor.

Team Neutral

Zendaya

She just was never really in on it. Good for you, girl!

The Squad

"not all heroes wear capes"

Katy Perry tweeted "#RISE above it all" linking her new single 'Rise', which appears to be a cryptic reference to the events currently unfolding. We all knew from Calvin Harris's side how Taylor Swift allegedly controls the media, and Kimye who released the footage of their phone conversation with Swift, which might lead to a lawsuit.

Seven years on and things have only begun to go nuclear. Will this feud ever come to an end? Are they going to resolve their issues privately like normal people would? Is the media going to benefit from this sensationalized gossip (probably so)?

And so like a game children play, people are bound to take sides, whether its friends in the industry, fans, or just us mere internet bystanders who love to read about celeb beef.
