Unlike songwriters or pop artists, beatboxers must solely rely on one instrument: their vocal cords. A talent that few can completely master, these are the best beatboxers in the world who have excelled in their division, and used it to rise to fame.

Without the use of musical instruments, lyrics, or really anything, beatboxers must rely on their performance ability, and on their vocal cords. But who made it to the top of the list? From Adam Rupp to Michael Jackson, these are the ten best beatboxers of all time.

To start off our list of the best beatboxers in the world, Adam Rupp will certainly play a trick on your ears, having you search for the imaginary drum set he plays, with just the instrument of his mouth. He puts on a show with his beatboxing, and every audience member walks away asking, "How'd he do that?"

Something you have to see for yourself, his solo performance is unmatchable, and portrays his raw talents. It's incredible how he can perform for over two hours, and still not get tired, and produce crystal clear sounds, with a great beat and great percussion.

Most known for being a part of the very famous a cappella ground, Pentatonix, Kevin Olusola is one of the best beatboxers in the world. The group has charted in the top five of the Billboard 200 charts with each of their five albums, having sold over two million records, and receiving two billion views to their YouTube channel.

Kevin is not only a beatboxer, but a cellist, rapper, record producer, singer, and songwriter. And he can even play the cello and beatbox, simultaneously. A talented man that completes the incredible group, Kevin is certainly one of the best of all time.

A beatboxer that certainly has his own style, Dave Crowe has some incredible sounds under his belt. When describing himself he says,

"I'm a beatboxer. A musician that believes that the future is in collaboration; this is where I believe true untampered creation comes from."

Most known for his street performances, he records his passion for the craft, and allows the internet to get in on the fun that he provides for his city's streets. A vocal imitator of a turntable, Crowe has perfected his talents, and used them to not only please a crowd, but express his creativities.

Most known for his hit song in Australia titled "These Kids," Joel Turner's rise to fame began in an Australian Idol audition. As not only a beatboxer, but a singer, songwriter, record producer, and instrumentalist, Turner is a man of many talents.

However, some of his most prominent accomplishments include winning the Beatbox Battle World Championship in both 2005 and 2009, and being attested for his "third voice," known to be a raw talent, with a deep base, and trademark sounds. As one of the best beatboxers in the world, Turner can draw in a crown with ease.

An American beatboxer, rapper, and singer, Rahzel Manely Brown was formerly a part of the band, The Roots. Rahzel is a triple threat, and has a signature song called "If Your Mother Only Knew."

From Philadelphia, he gained the nickname of "The Godfather of Nayze." And if watching some of his greatest beatboxing compilations on YouTube isn't enough, he's had a bunch of features in songs throughout his career. Some of which include "Steal My Kisses" by Ben Harpe, as well as the album True Love by Toots and the Maytals, which went on to win a Grammy in 2004.

Not one, not two, but three of the best beatboxers in the world comprise the hip-hop ground, The Fat Boys. From Brooklyn, New York, the group first received fame in the early 1980s. And still today, they are known to be some of the best of the best.

Originally known as the Disco 3, the group later went on to change their name to what they are so known for today. With seven albums under their belt, the group made a name for themselves with not only rap, but incredible beatboxing. And, they even made their way onto the big screen, with tons of filmography under their belt, from Warner Bros Pictures' Krush Groove, to TV commercials for SWATCH wrist watches.

MC Squared is a five time winner of Showtime at the Apollo. A human beatbox, MC Swared has performed with beatboxers such as Kenny Muhamma, Shodekeh, Afra, Adam Matta, Taylor McFerrin, Doug E. Fresh, and the list goes on. First releasing his solo beatbox DVD, the film received critical acclaim.

Playing across the United States, as well as large festivals such as the Fuji Rock Festival, MC Squared's mouth-made music was a hit. Plus, he has performed all around the world, in France, Germany, Costa Rica, Spain, Argentina, you name it.

"MC Squared's skills are undeniable. One of the very few talents to capture one's imagination." Rahzel

Next on our list of the best beatboxers in the world is Tom Thum. A musician who pushes the limits of his own vocal cords, his beats and sounds are almost impossible to wrap your mind around.

He even won the team battle in the World Beatbox Championships, and today he is a cast member in the hip-hop performance group, Tom Tom Crew, which appeared on Broadway and London's West End.

And what might be more impressive to some, Thum also has his own Ted Talk. As he is committed to teaching the craft of music, specifically hip-hop, he travels throughout Australia sharing his message, much like he does in his Ted Talk.

“Tom Thum appears to have swallowed an entire orchestra and several backing singers.” — The Guardian

Beardyman, or what his mother calls him, Darren Foreman, is a British multi-vocalist, comedian, beatboxer, and musician. An incredible musician who uses his beatboxing skills in collaboration in his live looping abilities, the performer is a must-see.

Creating music solely with his vocals, he uses the Korg Kaoss Pad 3 to loops his samples together, creating the entirety of the song with just his vocal cords and mouth. If that's not impressive, we don't know what is.

Last, but certainly not least, on our list of the best beatboxers in the world, we couldn't forget to mention the King of Pop. Was there anything that Michael Jackson couldn't do? This video is of him impressing Oprah in an interview by putting a bit of a spin on his 1991 hit, "Who Is It" with a little beat boxing.

Doing it with ease, the beatboxing that Michael effortlessly portrays in this interview is proof alone that he can master anything in the music world, making him one of the best beatboxers of all time.
