Are you ready to do the Time Warp again? Roll up those stockings, because there are just moments to go until The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again (that mouthful) graces our screens. We have another singing snippet of what you can expect when the TV movie airs on Fox later this month — check out the remake's rendition of "Sweet Transvestite" below.

Time to dance again.

Orange is the New Black's Laverne Cox will be picking up the mantle of sex-crazed Dr. Frank N. Furter, replacing the iconic Tim Curry from the 1975 original. The first 25 minutes of the special were shown at Comic-Con, but now "Sweet Transvestite" is the latest musical number to stream on YouTube. The song is one of several that we have already heard from the show, and where the leaked version of “Time Warp" may have sounded like original Rocky (Peter Hinwood) having his career dragged down a blackboard, this one ain't half bad.

Cox's version swaps out the blaring trumpets of Curry's original in favor of a "jazz lounge" feeling. That being said, she can't quite match Curry's annunciation of "antici[pause]pation," although it is a vast improvement on Glee's own take on the song from 2010. Admittedly nothing will ever top the cool menthol stylings of Tim Curry's Frank N. Furter, but I tip my hat to Cox for trying.

Love it or hate it, the televisual tribute will have us up in suspenders and thrusting those hips forward. The decision to remake 1975's classic will evoke a marmite response, as will Cox's casting, but no one can deny that she sure has a pair of lungs on her. Let's take a look at some of the other famous faces who have turned their vocals to playing the nymphomaniac doctor over the years:

Amber Riley's casting for the Glee special of The Rocky Horror Picture Show may have seemed controversial at the time, but it was nothing compared to the media uproar caused when transgender Laverne Cox was announced for the remake. Amongst the furor Cox decided they would stick with the term Transvestite to remain true to the original.

After coming out as gay, it looks like The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons embraced his new freedom with a feather boa in 2013. Performing at the Alzheimer's Association's "A Night at Sardis," Parsons and the rest of the cast did their own rendition of the show. The man behind Sheldon Cooper seems expertly cast as the doctor.

Giles...is that you? The stoic watcher from the Buffy The Vampire Slayer series also donned a pair of fishnets for the 1990-1991 West End revival of Rocky. Seemingly never able to leave the musical behind, we would later appear (as himself) alongside other Buffy actor Amber Benson in VH1's drag queens, and reprise his role as Frank N. Furter in Richard O'Brien's Rocky Horror Tribute Show in 2006.

There have been many Ru Paul's Drag Race alumni to slip into the iconic role for San Antonio's annual stage production. Previous Franks have included drag queens Manilla Luzon, Alaska, and Sharon Needles. However, in 2004, Season 6's Courtney Act put on some high heels to play Furter, appearing alongside other RPDR stars Bianca Del Rio and Michelle Visage.

For the time being though, it is all about one particular Coxy lady, and all eyes are focussed on whether Laverne can pull off the role. In an ideal world the reboot will bring a whole new generation of fans to the franchise, but whether or not fans of the original will be so keen remains to be seen. We will have to reserve judgement until The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again premieres on October 21, in typically garish style.
