Growing up I knew music was something that made me feel different. When I was sad music made me feel good, when I was mad music understood my anger, when I was happy music basically told me to keep it up. Music can give me the best chills, and it can make me cry like a baby. It wasn't until I was a senior in high school that I learned where I belonged. The first time my friends and I ventured off to Warped Tour, we were in this magical world, and since then I have discovered so many of my favorite bands, bands who have gotten me through depression, hopelessness, anxiety, everything in the book.

So when I discovered Asking Alexandria it was a new adventure for me, and I experienced the new excitement you get when you begin to love a band. It is like that first kiss, where your palms are sweating, and you aren't sure which way to go. Now I am a music fan who is all about the entire band, without them you wouldn't have the glorious sounds of happiness. But Danny Worsnop has always stuck out on my radar.

I absolutely love We are Harlot, and now his newest adventure, solo album The Long Road Home. Excuse my language but holy shit, is there anything that man can't do with his voice? Some artists barely make it by, singing on one album. Many big name artists can't even sing live (Sorry Mariah Carey) but Danny can change his voice and still sound good. I have mad respect for the artists that can scream, and sing with beautiful voices. But Danny has proven time and time again when he is determined he can do anything.

I have waited for the release of the Long Road Home for almost a year, and he has not let me down. The music is more than just country music, and bullshit lyrics. The songs are soulful and have meaning behind them. The album is an absolute incredible mix of sappy love songs, upbeat feeling like shit songs, and being at the bottom of the bottle. I followed Worsnop through his release of The Long Road Home off Earache Records. From the album name change to reading his open stories about losing a child, being homeless, his struggle with drugs, it all made me enjoy his music that much more.

I realize that I say this a lot, but Danny Worsnop is the artist of the year. Two years ago, I heard rumors that he was not the nicest person, but let me tell you this man is a sweetheart. When seeing We are Harlot I met the band twice, (seriously nicest band you will ever meet) and Danny was so kind. He was interested in what you had to say, and he genuinely cared. Some Artists are good at making you feel brushed off, but not Mr. Worsnop. He and the entire band were so nice.

Worsnop, is creative in ways that some people just aren't. He puts so much into his work, and if you do not check out The Long Road home, you are missing out on something great. The album is currently #1 on the country charts in the UK, and #10 in the US. Go out and support this man, you won't be sorry. I promise you will be glad you did!

On Behalf of Music is the heart and Soul of the body, Congratulations Danny!
