Deep cutting Bleachers songs just to enhance your sad, sad feels.

Bleachers has been in my life for quite some time, not to mention frontrunner Jack Antonoff, member of the short lived fun. (shameless plug wishing for them to do a Jo-Bros-style comeback) They're all about 80s vibes, pop-y sounds, and a little bit of heartbreak. Below is a small list of must-have Bleachers songs targeted right to your fragile heart.

You can find Mumford & Sons on Apple Music, Spotify, and other streaming/purchasing services.

5. 'Take Me Away' (feat. Grimes) - 'Strange Desire'

While this is not one of my favorites from Bleachers, it is not one I should skip for this list. Wholeheartedly, this song is a reminiscent anthem on a couple's argument resurfacing. The song is interwoven with the phrase "I know you're sorry," while also returning to going off on a partner. Towards the end, there is the discussion of "love won't break us" and "if I can't find a way out of myself again," which leads to the idea of self-flaws and understanding how damaging one can be to a relationship. Ouch.

4. "Reckless Love" - 'Strange Desire'

This song was always one to pull at my heartstrings as it is very self-aware and introspective, like I foreshadowed in the previous song. While the love that is experience is quite reckless in nature, it is one that is felt, adored, and lusted for. Towards the end, after solid minutes of sorrowful guitar and low drums, vocals tell how "I'd burn my dreams away to stand in the broken shadows of your reckless love." Not only is the love selfish, "thankless," and "reckless," but it is one that you'd give up everything you hope for just to have again. If this isn't straight out of the feels of a recent breakup...

3. "I'm Ready to Move On / Wild Heart Reprise" - 'Strange Desire'

On the flip side of those recent break up feelings are those of finalized pick-up vibes to advance forward with your love life. A sorrowful piano leads you into a hopeful Yoko Ono ready to go on. Interwoven lyrics from "Wild Heart," which lend to closing up the previous relationship, "boarding up the windows and doors to my house" or to be closed off from it all. The realization of a new love is tender in his mind, where "everything has changed, and it's only you that matters," where one is finally ready to go to the new love they deserve. And don't worry, "Reckless Love" shows up in the finale of the song to really tie a bow onto the symphony.

We might not be there yet, but the song will be here for you when you're ready to proceed past your previous love.

2. "Wake Me" - 'Strange Desire'

Okay, so a "break" from the super break-up vibes happening, sometimes you get really sad over missing your partner. Maybe they make you so happy that you're really just uber emotional about it. Who knows? This song is really it. If you're really in your feels about how much your partner means to you, here is the anthem for you. The chorus is constructed on "I can't believe I captured your heart," which is so melancholically appreciative. It is an emotionally confusing song, but hey, if it does the trick, then it does.

1. "Who I Want You to Love" - 'Strange Desire'

This song really just messes with all of my being, as it really dives into the conversation of realizing a toxic relationship. Not even gonna lie, I'm pretty sure I cried in the shower to this song. It's fine. I'm fine. Everything's fine.

It is focused on the selflessness you face, even in the direct path of "replacing my dreams," "twisting" and "screams," "bleed[ing] when you want me to bleed." It is truly heartbreaking, especially with the self-actualization that it "all hurts me" and it isn't reciprocal.

Love is so painful sometimes, but these feelings are so important because maybe it is time to consider if it really was even love at all.

If you like what they've got thus far, go check out their full albums, Strange Desire and Gone Now. Jack Antonoff also put together the Love, Simon album, which features a couple of new songs. Otherwise, he has posted on social media about writing, so a new album is likely on its way.

Grab your tissues and stay hydrated, my friends.
