Kohei Announces U.S. 2018 Tour

He plays over 200 shows per year throughout the United States!

R&B/Soul Singer Kohei

Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, R&B/ Soul superstar Kohei has made a name for himself throughout the United States at some of the biggest Festivals and venues. Currently living in Harlem, NYC for five years, he has performed in front of crowds of over 30,000 attendees world wide. He had the honor of winning major competitions such as Amateur Night at The Apollo. Past winners include legends such as Michael Jackson, James Brown, Luther Vandross, Sarah Vaughn, Dionne Warwick and the list goes on. Since his victory win, he has performed at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York a total of eight times.

Recently, the United Nations awarded Kohei as an International Ambassador musician. He has had the honor of performing three years in a row at the National Night Out Against Crime in the presence of New York's very own, mayor Bill de Blasio. The National Night Out Against Crime is meant to increase awareness about police programs in communities, such as drug prevention, town watch, neighborhood watch, and other anti-crime efforts. Kohei's brand is about uniting the community and helping others. In addition to performing at this event, he has joined many non profit organizations and has performed at several Aid’s Benefit Concerts around the United States Of America to raise awareness to this cause.

Due to his life experiences and caring for the community, he has a new single titled, “Power To The People” that will be released on all major platforms in the near future! Some of his musical influences include Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder which have played a huge roll in his own unique style and live shows. Kohei told us that one of his major goals as a artist is to build unity between Japan and the United States which is one of the reasons why he loves performing at major festivals all across the the United States.

Kohei is currently touring around the United States while performing at numerous well known festivals and venues. His history shows that he plays over 200 high energy shows per year. He has gained a fan base and loyal following in many popular cities such as Houston, New York, North Carolina, and Los Angeles to name a few. Some of his upcoming tour stops include Minneapolis, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Atlanta. He will be playing at the McDonald's Gospel Festival in Newark, New Jersey where he was hand selected as a musical act.
