'Magical'

On the 11th of January, this year, I dropped a new track. Now, this seems a normal thing to do, as I am a singer and a writer, but the reason it was a bit of a feat was that I had not released a track since May 2018. The track itself, "Magical," should have been released in September 2018.

I have been working with my mother for the past three years now. She has been working full time trying to get my music out there for people to listen to, getting my social media at a good level, and getting my image right. I call her my MuMager…as she is my manager, really.

Anyway, I think it's starting to work. If you stick to your ideas and keep pushing you will get there. I don't intend to be a nobody!

I have digressed.

"Magical" was going out on CD Baby, I should have put it out myself but things happen for a reason and perhaps all the waiting for the track to drop did me a favour rather than not. Although all the waiting and putting people off was a pain. I had sorted plays on the radio and blog features for the drop, but it didn't come. Even BBC introducing played it on the day it was going to be released.

The reasons for the delay.

Lee from DeeVu Records liked the track and said he would distribute it for me. It saved me money, so we said yes, but because Lee was now putting it out, he likes to try to put out a couple of remixes with the track as it saves DeeVu money. We worked out the money for a couple of remixes and we waited. The remixes were done but then a disaster with the computer, no, the producer didn’t back up the work so all the waiting was for nothing. But by then it was too close to Christmas!

"Magical" was put on hold until January. After all the Christmas music madness. And guess what? We didn't do any remixes in the end! So, as I said, I think things happen for a reason. Because I got a huge buzz from my followers asking about it and once the track was out.

They had been waiting for four months for the track to drop, which I have found out is a good time for people to get excited about your music.

I have a music video coming out too with this track and I am having the launch broadcast on Facebook. This is being really advertised a lot as I have a lot of followers in the United States.

So the video for "Magical" is out soon and this is the first one I haven't done myself. It was a freebie from the studio. My producer does the whole studio thing with photography video, he even has a green screen. So I got the video for free, otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to afford it. It was a training day for the studio and it came out cool. My next video is being planned already. my next single, "Fucked Me Up" ("Messed Me Up" for the radio edit) which "will" be out in May.
