Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park Announces Public Chester Bennington Memorials

It's been a week since Chester Bennington of Linkin Park. It's been a week that family, friends, and fans had begun the mourning the loss. Today, Linkin Parks Mike Shinoda finally spoke out since the loss of his friend, family member, and bandmate. He came out to thank everyone for the privacy that the band and family members have been given since the death of the 41 year old lead singer.

The band has even gone as far to offer resources for those dealing with depression and or suicidal thoughts. The resources were put on a dedicated website for those in need of help as a page dedicated to Chester Bennington's passing.

In order for fans to celebrate the life of Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda and the band announced that they will be hosting a private cemerony for the family and friends of Chester Bennington, but they have stated that they won't be denying fans a chance to pay tribute to the recently deceased singer.

In his letter, Shinoda reached out to fans stating the very thought many fans around the world have been sharing since the passing of Bennington: "If you need a (local) place to celebrate Chester, look to tiny.cc/lpmemorial and all the amazing fan sites I’ve previously mentioned.”

The link will take you to a Google Document created by the band. There you can click your region and find a list of locations where the events will take place. If you have a Facebook page, you will find yourself sent to an event page where you can sign up to meet up with other fans for the memorial.

Fans Have Even Paid Tribute and Sent Linkin Park Surging Up on the Billboard Charts

Since Chester's passing, fans have also been buying up the bands albums as a tribute to the recently passed singer. In doing so, they've managed to send four of the bands most famous albums sky rocketing through the Billboard Charts. The albums that hit charts may actually surprise fans.

Fans have managed to bump their latest album "One More Light" up to 17th place having sold 23,000 albums in the week leading up to the the bands debut album "Hybrid Theory" landing in the 27th place with 15,000 units sold, "Meteora" followed third with 11,000 albums sold and in the 41st spot. The bands fourth album on the charts happened to be the bands 2007 album "Minutes to Midnight", which landed on the 115th spot with 6,000 albums sold.

Previously the albums landed in the records charting in at the 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 27th spots respectively. While it's uncertain what the bands future is, there's no doubt that the group will possibly make one more tour as a tribute to Chester Bennington sometime in the future.
