Reason First: Do Cardi B's Accusers Hate Her Because She's Beautiful?
Cardi B has amassed a tidy fortune and has become a substantial part of the zeitgeist. So, why is she so hated?
Before roving mobs start chanting “lock her up!” Cardi B should be given her chance at due process like any other rights holding American citizen. A Grammy, a husband, a baby, three number one singles, and an ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Award, and a number one album all set up Cardi B to be amongst the wheat while other female rappers have become the chaff. The indictment regarding her allegedly attempting to “assault two women with intent to cause serious physical injury and other charges like misdemeanor reckless endangerment, assault, criminal solicitation, conspiracy,” and harassment all amount to hate. It is the hatred of the successful for being successful. If Cardi B would have been a dancer still sliding down poles with a few thousand dollars attached to her name, would she be in this conundrum?
Cardi B excites the crowd
Cardi B represents the achiever who knows how to maneuver through the minefields of the business of entertainment. Those charges should fall like leaves in autumn time. If Jessie Smollett can be cleared (for now) of the charges that he faced, why can’t this nation notice a young powerhouse like Cardi B? By analyzing the case, it doesn’t take a criminologist to figure out how wrong these trumped up charges remain to be. This is the root of all evil. To name something ugly, broken, disturbed, and criminal when it is beautiful, together, sane, and not guilty, then that spells out a vicious viewpoint of things. What Cardi B should focus on is hiring the most intelligent and knowledgeable legal team. She ought to take into account the fact that she is young and successful, and that gnarled street urchins should not even play a part in her life. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper should be able to discover that the good should stand up and declare how good they are. Her massive attainments in her career so brief should convince the people deciding her case to remember that she is rising and still has not reached the zenith of her career.
Cardi B holds her own onstage
The time that it takes for someone to malign and paint as despicable should be spent uplifting and praising the good. The ones who make life interesting and a spectacle should be applauded, not accused of terrible crimes. How one can at least bring into their consciousness that Cardi B is guilty, they should instead consider that she is a wife, mother, and superstar, and she has only one studio album to her credit. Now, this does not clear her of any wrongdoing if in fact she was involved in these incidents. What is more important is schooling the collective that an individual in this country still has rights. Cardi B should be able to navigate the legal system with aplomb. She ought to read up on journals and law scribblings regarding cases similar to her own. Once the case goes to court, then she should lift her head up high and strut like a peacock. The road that she has traveled has been fraught with a harshness that has not defined her character. Her ability to surmount all of those odds formed her character. It is her perseverance that has made her an icon to millions. The skinny little girl that no one thought could do it has achieved great stardom beyond most people’s best dreams. In order to properly assess the situation, individuals like Cardi B must examine her own selfishness. This means that she must evaluate the good, selfish part of herself. That to be selfish means to take on those allegations with moral ambitiousness. This means that her self esteem and self-interest ought to be her compass in every endeavor that she may embark on this journey called life.
