Ruidoso, NM, March of 2019

This small town group out of Texas is starting to shake-up the surrounding states and their major cities. Formed in 2012, this prominent and talented band has started to turn the heads of some bigger names that could send them sky-rocketing into fame. If you're able to ever catch this group performing in, close to, or around your town. You'll have to hurry-out! You need to see them for yourself to see what the rave is all about. They mainly play a big variety of classic rock songs. The only difference is they twist-up some of the songs and add their style. Which, they do very well. They also have their original songs that are coming out soon in their new album. Marked to be released some time within the next year of 2020. If you could hear the crowds go crazy with the cover songs they do? You should hear the crowds just lose it when they kick off an original song.

Originally, this group had started as a three-piece band that took their hometown by surprise. This is where the band found its name; Stellar. It was something to see a small band with a big sound gather the type of reaction that they did. Now, they have grown into a five-piece band and their sound has grown with them. Just a single performance, starting at their first gig, they were able to line up six more shows, booked for the upcoming weeks. From those few shows they managed to keep a good momentum that has taken them faster through the stages of stardom and into the twentieth century.

Richard C., a well-known producer, editor, artist, and songwriter said, "Absolutely Amazing Sound! I had to catch 'em after their show to see if I could bring them into the studio right away..." Richard extended his heart to the band. Which, made them so humbly pleased to accept his offer. They didn't know that this one opportunity could indeed change their lives.

Needless to say, they went in and ended up recording a few songs on that same weekend. The members of the band had originally planned to go up to the mountains in early March of 2019. They had a cabin up in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Each of the members had decided to bring their equipment up to the cabin so they could try and create new songs for a demo they were trying to record themselves, using nothing but a small four-track recorder they had. Lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist May R. said," Yeah, we all had the basic idea that we were going to come up and practice songs, and try to make more over the weekend. Recording all night and practicing all day." The band did go up there to record, but not like how they expected at all.

Once they made their way up to Ruidoso. They all decided to meet at a place in town called, The Sacred Grounds Coffee and Tea House. Little did they know, when they got there, that Sacred Grounds would be holding an open mic night for the local crowds. With a nice stage, sound, lights, and new faces in the crowd, Stellar couldn't resist. So, by chance, one of the members made friends at the bar whom, they didn't know at the time, was the owner. The owner quickly caught wind that there was a talented band in his bar, and he was very eager to capture the moment.

Not many people had signed on to play that night, and the owner wanted to get his bar on the up and up, because it just so happens that on that same weekend in Ruidoso, they were also having their annual Blues Festival. It was as if you can imagine a 200 person capacity bar trying to hold 300 to 350 people. In other words, it was packed. Quickly after the owner had talked with the drummer about only playing about five songs to start—then maybe he would let them back to play an actual show for his bar in the future.

The band was given about 15 minutes to quickly set up what they needed and dish out a few songs for the crowd. It was an open mic night that the band had no idea they were going to be part of. But, luckily they came prepared with their equipment in hand. As soon as the Band started, it was sure that the people were well astonished by the performance they had received that night. The crowd got bigger as people pushed their way inside to see the band. Sales at the bar were going out of control with orders and request for the band. They played, and by their fifth song, the crowd rumbled the bar and the floors with applause, shouting for more, as the owner stood in amazement. He welcomed them to play a few more songs to keep the crowd happy. Then they were to respectfully step down.

Throughout the show the band was able to put down a tip jar that ended up doing very good for them in the long run. By the time they made their way offstage. They had gathered the respect of the owner and the people. The band walked off that stage with almost a thousand dollars for an hour's worth of entertainment—and well worth it because shortly after the show, the band was approached by a producer that just happened to be out on vacation and having a drink that night, while he watched the local talent take the stage.

Once he saw the reaction and the sound that this group had, he knew he had to have them on disk. The band was truly in shock with joy at this point—for their dreams were coming true. They saw themselves as a tight group going up to the mountains to record and practice a few songs, when they were granted the chance to practice in front of a big crowd. And on top of that, actually getting to go into a studio to record their new songs, for real. What more could they ask for?

Well luckily, they were given the chance to come back and play for Sacred Grounds again throughout the year. So, if you ever get the chance to catch this originally genuine band, I highly suggest you try to catch one of their shows. They honestly know how to have a good time with clean fun, and great classic rock music. This band has become a great inspiration to those that still believe in dreams. They move state to state so you never know where you might find them next. You might try to follow them on their band page, or just keep an ear out for them. Because it won't be too long before you hear these guys on the radio.
