My Thoughts on the Songs in K-Pop Rookie Group, Stray Kids!

Let's start!

01: "You"

This song is short and I just found out it only included Jeongin, Changbin, and Hyunjin (my bias). I feel like this song really belongs to them, fits Jeongin's style! It is also a great way to sway the listener into the rest of the album.

02: "I Am: You"

The title song. A queen. The lyrics in this song are sweet. How you can see yourself in your best friend or partner. How you can see your future path with them. Ah, so soft. The vocals made this better. Woojin, Jeongin, keep it up! Chan singing at the start of the song was the perfect beginning. The downfall of this song is the lack of lines little Felix has :(. My Hyunjin's rap was interesting, full of thought.

03: "My Side"

The melody of this song is sooo good! Oh my god! Jisung built the mood at the beginning. My favorite song of the album, definitely haha. This song has a simple message thank you.

04: "Get Cool"

This song is relaxing in general. Summer relaxing vibe. Even though it's almost winter. Another simple message, don't worry, be happy. Chan's voice in this song makes the song so cool. It kind of adds sweetness and innocence to it, uwu. Fight me on this. This is CHAN'S song!

05: "Opposite"

Okay. This song blew my expectations?!? Changbin's voice got deeper, almost like Felix's. Woojin trying to be cool? They are trying to turn stray kids into an all rapping group. 3racha? more like 9racha. The whole song is kinda cool. The lyrics kind of don't make sense to me, but it sounds cool. Hyunjin had the same line repeated. Hey, it's something for my baby. Honestly, second favorite on the album.

06: "0325"

Oh my god. Their debut date. Sad hours bitches. This song almost made me cry. The boys talked about their hardships during their trainee days. Shit. Who cutting onions? This is our start line, bitch yes it was! The start line of their future success! We love humble kings who remember their beginnings😭

07: "Mixtape #3"

Final song of the mini album, folks. I think of this song as more of a song for us, STAYS, our hardships. The song tells us that the path to success does matter, it defines us and that our mistakes help our way. The message reminds me of "Pied Piper" by BTS. Two different messages but it's a song us about our studies and future. Now whenever I blow off work, time to listen to this and "Pied Piper." Title is misleading but it was a good way to close off the album.

Conclusion

I love this album. Stray Kids, keep making good music! Anyway, if you guys haven't checked them out yet, you should right now! You won't regret it! Become a STAY! Warning: cuteness, talent, gayness, and crackhead-ness are waiting for you there.

Even if you haven't listened to K-pop, please check them out! They are nine really talented boys! These boys are a good place to start. If you guys want to, I'll do an entry about the basics of Stray Kids!

Thank you for reading! See you another time!
