Songs for Grandma
This was inspired by prompt 4 here... All of the following songs are reminders of my grandma. I'm going to explain why for each of them.
Rene PetersPublished 3 months ago in BeatA Sixth Selection Of Ten Essential UK & Irish Folk Music Songs From 1960s-1980s
Introduction I need to be a little more careful in my song selections as I repeated one in Episode Five (Link at the end of this article) but I have to be thankful for the suggestions from the members of UK & Irish Folk Music 60s-80s for their suggestions of artists who have slipped my mind and artists I have never heard of. I had been particularly remiss in my lack of coverage of Welsh Folk.

A Fifth Selection Of Ten Essential UK & Irish Folk Music Songs From 1960s-1980s
Introduction This is the fifth installment in this series taking it up to fifty songs for you to enjoy. I am trying not to repeat artists but the more I share the more difficult that is to do.
Mike Singleton - MikeydredPublished 3 months ago in BeatCautionary warning to stupid girls of the world
pink and garbage have two songs that are warnings to the stupid girls of the world. They are two songs with similar messages but the same title “stupid girl”. These songs need to exist and with the state of the world and the messages that females of all ages get on a daily basis. The garbage song stupid girl tells it like it is Shirley Manson the lead singer really put stupid girls in their place is. The song was originally released by the band in 1995. The video is nitty and gritty and just perfect for the alternative music genre as it was at the time.
RIKKI LA ROUGEPublished 3 months ago in BeatA Fourth Selection Of Ten Essential UK & Irish Folk Music Songs From 1960s-1980s
Introduction This is the fourth episode in this series and I am trying to not repeat myself and to include artists that have not appeared in previous ones. I don't think I will have any problem with that, and I am lucky enough to start this off with someone that I have met a corresponded with.

Rick Henry ChristopherPublished 3 months ago in BeatHot Box - "Lickety Split"
Once upon a time, in a galaxy as far away as the piss-puddled floors of the local all-ages gig-a-plex, there was a furious rebirth of the punk rock phenomena. That was about the good year 1996, and it was a time of incredible promise and pain: Promise that life might be every bit as intense and fun going forward as it was at that one youth-infused moment; pain because the fun usually involved someone jumping on your head, sometimes from the bleeding lip of the dirty, spit and cigarette butt littered stage, sometimes just to be doing it. And, well, if they were bigger than you--bammo!

Classic Christmas Playlist
There's one aspect of Christmas that I absolutely love, and that is listening to Christmas music. Nothing is more than having upbeat, happy tunes that celebrate snow, Christmas, hot chocolate, walking in the streets, and looking through the shop windows and Noel.
Tortue Tortue: Blending Rhythmic, Melancholic, and Political Tunes
In the vast landscape of music, there are certain artists who stand out for their unique blend of influences, creating a sound that is both captivating and thought-provoking.
mysoundMusicPublished 3 months ago in BeatA Second Selection Of Ten Essential UK & Irish Folk Music Songs From 1960s-1980s
Introduction Peter Guy said this in a comment on the story below: It’s ascribed to various blues singers I think, that “all music is folk music, at least I never heard a horse sing” or words to that effect.
