New year, new music. I don't know about you, but my favourite day of the week is Friday, because that's when new music is released. Every Friday morning, I hop onto my Apple Music and look to see what I can listen to next from the new music. If you're all about those new tunes from your favourite artists, keep reading!
Here are the albums that I'm most looking forward to in 2018:
Liam Payne, TBA
Even if he wasn't your favourite member of One Direction, you have to admit that you're still interested. After the huge successes of fellow 1D alumni Harry Styles and Niall Horan this past year, Liam Payne's debut album should be great.
Liam has been doing very well since going solo, releasing a few singles and appearing on the lead single for Fifty Shades Freed with Rita Ora. I know that I'm excited to hear what's next for this hottie.
Justin Timberlake, 'Man of the Woods'
Justin Timberlake is awesome, no doubt about it. He has been rocking the charts since going solo from *NSYNC years ago, producing and creating many chart-topping projects. If this album is anywhere near what his past albums have been, prepare to be dancing in your bedroom all month.
Timberlake's Man of the Woods has been leading with some awesome singles, and I'm looking forward to hearing something different from him, as compared to what we've heard in the past. Look for it on February 2nd.
The 1975, 'Music For Cars'
Pretty much all I know about this one is that it's going to be released in 2018. But after how good I Like it When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It was, I'm okay with waiting for perfection.
I love The 1975's sound, and I think that this band just keeps getting better as they release more music, so I'm super excited to hear what Music For Cars sounds like. I actually drive around as my job, so hopefully they'll give me a new soundtrack to blast on my drive.
Charlie Puth, 'Voicenotes'
Well, it looks like the men of the music industry are going to kill it this year. Following catchy singles "Attention" and "How Long," I'm pumped to hear what Charlie Puth has coming next! That high range gives me chills, and I loved his debut album.
iTunes says that Voicenotes is set to be released on May 11th. Puth has already announced a tour for this album, so he must have put a lot into it. If you can sell tour tickets before the album is even released, you're doing something right.
Louis Tomlinson, TBA
Another former 1D member! Like I said with Liam Payne, based on how well the other One Direction members have done (especially Zayn Malik, who I didn't forget earlier), Louis Tomlinson's album is sure to be a hit.
He has already released three singles, so an album announcement will hopefully be coming soon. Tomlinson was never my favourite member of 1D, but I am utterly curious to see if the good luck trend for these boys continues as they branch out on their own.
Selena Gomez, TBA
Selena Gomez is a true beauty. I have loved all of her past music, especially 2015's Revival. I've been waiting for new music since then. Gomez has given us some singles, but it looks like a new album is still in the works.
After the tough year that Gomez has had with her illnesses, I'm thinking that her new music will be filled with hits about her experiences and what she's been through, which is the best kind of music.
What albums are you looking forward to in 2018? It's still early, so I can't wait to hear all the new music that will come later in the year!
