5. HUNNY

Hunny

HUNNY is the perfect band for alternative music lovers. Their music is the perfect mix of rock and indie. The members of the group are Jason Yarger, Jake Goldstein, Jake Munk, Greg Horne, Kevin Gerimmett, and Joey Anderson. HUNNY have released two EPs: Pain / Ache / Loving and Windows I. They’ve said they will be releasing Windows II sometime soon. Some of their hit songs are “Vowels (And the Importance of Being Me),” “Cry For Me,” and “Televised.” They are the modern-day punk rock band you've been waiting for!

4. Kid Bloom

Kid Bloom

Kid Bloom is another boy band with a unique and interesting sound. Their music is alternative/indie and gives off groovy vibes. The band consists of Lennon Kloser, Jesse Perlman, Josh Conway, Englishmen Will Reynolds, and Max Sterling. They have released one EP: A Different State of Mind, and one album: A Long Kiss Goodbye. My favorite songs by them are “I Kissed a Girl, and She Kissed Me,” “Electric U,” “Window,” “Hazy Miss Daisy,” and “She Only Stays on the Weekend.” They are unlike any boy band you've ever heard, yet they are still unknown to most music enthusiasts. Their music makes you feel good so it's not hard to get drawn into their work–– it's addicting!

3. Summer Salt

Summer Salt

Summer Salt is a band of three best friends Phil Baier, Eugene Chung, and Matt Terry from Austin, Texas. They have an old, soothing sound and are inspired by bossa nova and oldies music. They haven't released any full albums yet, but they do have three EPs: Driving to Hawaii, Going Native, and So Polite. The trio has also come out with three holiday singles: "Favorite Holiday" for Halloween, "Abominable Snowman" for the winter holiday season, and "One Last Time" for Valentine's Day. My favorite songs of theirs are “Going Native,” “Revvin’ My Cj7,” “Candy Wrappers,” and “Sweet To Me.” Summer Salt is the perfect band to listen to while driving with friends or just chilling on the warm beach.

2. Wallows

Wallows

Wallows is a new band featuring Dylan Minnette. You may know him from the hit TV show Thirteen Reasons Why. The band also contains his talented best friends Braeden Lemasters, Cole Preston, and Elliot Rose. They've released a few singles, their first being the hit song "Pleaser". This past April they came out with an EP called Spring. Some of their other more popular songs are “Pictures of Girls,” “These Days,” and “Uncomfortable.” They have a cool, modern sound that appeals to all types of music lovers. They're starting to gain more attention for their catchy tunes.

1. BROCKHAMPTON

BROCKHAMPTON

Recently this boy band has been taking the world by storm. Their popularity has grown a lot over the last few months, yet they are still unknown to most consumers. Last year this busy group released THREE albums. Yes, THREE! These are known as the Saturation trilogy. BROCKHAMPTON is considered an alternative hip hop boy band, but they include many different genres in their music. The group contains over ten artists, and they do everything from the comfort of their home in California, including lyrics, production, instrumentals, design, merch, etc. The rappers/singers in the group are Ian Simpson (Kevin Abstract), Matt Champion, Merlyn Wood, Joba, Dom Mclennon, and Bearface. The other members of BROCKHAMPTON include Henock "HK" Sileshi, Ashlan Grey, Jabari Manwa, Kiko Merley Robert "Roberto" Ontenient, and Jon Nunes. They have a huge variety of songs, but my personal favorites are “STAR,” “FIGHT,” “STUPID,” “SWAMP,” “JELLO,” and “GOLD.” BROCKHAMPTON is one of the most unique and inspiring bands around. There is absolutely no one else like them. Check this amazing boy band out now because they are on their way to becoming a worldwide sensation!
