To all the emo kids who are now grown up and looking to relive their youth, look no further! This Year's Comeback has given listeners their teenage years back. Crank up their tunes on the way to your 9-5 and start to reminisce on simpler times.

What inspires you guys when you write music?

“We never actually write together to be honest, definitely something we plan on doing in the future though. For the last two albums, a lot of the songs, I’d just write out some lyrics and a really, really basic chord structure underneath, maybe a dumb riff. Then, I show it to Nick and he somehow manages to turn a turd into a gold nugget. After that, we start trying it as a band, and the other guys start throwing in little things here and there, just tweaking it ‘til we like it.”—Brian

How did each of you get into music?

“My mom tried making me learn piano around nine. I started playing guitar when I was like, 13. Band stuff around 14, but it was always hard to find a singer, so I gave it a shot.”—Brian

“I used to learn how to play a bunch of songs from video games I liked when I was younger on piano, but I always wanted to play guitar. It wasn't until about a year or so after I first played Guitar Hero that I actually got my first guitar.”—Nick

“Honestly, it was probably Guitar Hero and Rock Band that influenced me the most to start playing music.”—Ryan

As individuals, who are your favorite bands?

“Green Day, My Chem, Wonder Years, Breaking Benjamin, anything Jack White related.”—Brian

“Pre Save Rock And Roll Fall Out Boy, Dragonforce, Metallica, Megadeth, Black Sabbath/Ozzy, Children Of Bodom, In Flames.”—Nick

“There’s so many, but just to name a few, Blink-182, Silverstein, and Tiny Moving Parts.”—Ryan

You guys recently came out with a new video called “Young & Angry,” can you talk to us about the song and the video?

“'Young and Angry,' I feel, is a song about growing up and killing off your immaturity. Like, looking at who you used to be, and comparing that to the hopefully better person you’ve grown into. I think the video conveys that in a halfway decent fashion. We’ve got Doug, our mascot bear, terrorizing the band, doing dumb stuff, kind of reflects that immaturity. In the video, I’d say the band kind of represents the now so, there’s a little beef between who you were and who you are now. Eventually, Doug gets himself into too much trouble, and we see the mask drop, I think that’s a nice touch on growing up.”—Brian

Who would be your dream band to open for?

“I really don’t know how to answer that, sorry.”—Brian

“If we're going by bands in the same genre, Fall Out Boy. If genre doesn't matter, then Black Sabbath if they still existed, or Ozzy.”—Nick

“It’s a hard decision, but I think I would have to go with Blink-182.”—Ryan

What is something you would want your listeners to know about you?

“I like being outdoors, biking, hiking, kayaking, skateboarding with Justin.”—Brian

“I don't know, I'm just a big video game nerd, I guess.”—Nick

“I play too many video games.”—Ryan

What advice would you give your 13-year-old selves?

“Eat healthy, exercise more.”—Brian

“Start playing drums sooner than I did, it was always something I was interested in.”—Ryan

What can we expect from you guys in the future?

"Now that Missing Pages is just around the corner, we’re definitely going to play the hell out of it. Just play show to show to show, just showing off those new songs we’ve got. I think people are definitely going to like them, or at least one. After that, we’ve got some pretty extravagant plans set aside, but that’s all I’ll say for now though."— Brian
