I'm going to review an album that normally I wouldn't pick, or listen to. The album I'm going to be reviewing today is called, Come over when you're sober, part 2. This is by, Lil Peep. I believe this is his second album, and it came out after he passed away. I also believe that the album was not finished before he died, but was still published even though it was unfinished.

Also, I would like to note, my type of music is very Taylor swift style, and pop. So this is a different scene for me to listen to.

Also, although the artist has passed, I'm going to be writing these in the present tense, because the songs are in the present tense

I also would like to say I mean no disrespect towards the artist. and that it is just a review. and I do not mean anything towards Lil Peep.

"Broken Smile (My All)"

I liked this song, especially the beginning, as it made me pay attention to the lyrics other than the beat. Once the beat began I really liked it, and it was something I could get into. I'm guessing from the lyrics that the song is about having your heartbroken, and that he still has feelings for her, and also that he lost something great. Although I'm still unsure of whether that is what it is about. I liked the beat, and the song falls in the category of it not sounding similar to the rest of the album, which was great.

"Runaway"

The title is something that intrigued me. As soon as the track started, I immediately felt a connection to school, and having to follow rules as a teen. Also about not trusting people, and not being able to believe people, and also not wanting to be there or do something. I have a feeling this is about school, and the rebellious teenage years. The beat itself was quite similar, but the lyrics stood out more in this one.

"Sex with My Ex"

The beginning beat was pretty similar to the others. From the title I had an idea of what it was about. It was overall a good song, but there was nothing extravagant about it. Although the song is generic, I actually liked it, which I am surprised about. But despite that, I found there was nothing special about this song that separated it from the others.

"Cry Alone"

I really liked the beginning, as it was different than the rest, and quite quick with the music in the background of it. I think the lyrics were about him basically saying to everyone who didn't have belief in him to look where he is now, and that he's made it, and he's the one laughing at now. Again the beat was starting to sound similar to the others. But did have some distinctive features.

"Leanin'"

The beginning was kind of creepy. Then when the actual track started, it was really good. From what I can tell from the lyrics, it's pretty depressing by talking about death and popping pills. But despite the dark lyrics, I think this is my favourite song on the album. I would like to add that his voice matches the beat, which sometimes is hard to find in a song.

"16 Lines"

The beginning was slow as I've seen with a lot of these, but once the lyrics started it was really good, and the lyrics in this song are very deep, and I immediately got a sense of the backstory. The beat was really good, and matched the voice. This song is one of my favourites I've heard from the album so far. From the lyrics, I got a sense of feeling lonely.

"Life Is Beautiful"

I really like the title of the song, and I think that with the lyrics it really is beautiful. The background was different, and liked that a lot. The lyrics sound to me like he is being sarcastic, and is pointing out the ironic things in life, and pointing out the problems in society, which is really good, and I think it's one of the perfect ways to get it out there. This is probably a song I'm going to add to one of my playlists. I love the song, and its meaning, and honestly it is a work of art.

"Hate Me"

I think the title of the song is something that would draw a lot of people to listen to the song. At least it did me. The lyrics are what I expected from the song, and he is just describing himself as not good enough, or him not being perfect. But when he has a said love interest, he feels like he can change. But the girl keeps messing with his head, and pushing him away, but he realizes that and doesn't believe it.

"IDGAF"

The start was really nice, and the beat you could instantly follow. The lyrics were something to me that was about just being carefree, and unsure of his feelings for anything. The beat began to feel like all the others, and it kind of drowned into the background, but then always managed to come back.

"White Girl"

The start didn't have any distinctive features different from the others. The beat has some guitars in it like the others. The lyrics seemed to be about being with a girl, hence the title, and possibly drugs. Also, it sounds like he is saying he doesn't want to be in a serious relationship with the girl. This song is really good, but not something I would listen to again. As I think this is the weakest of the songs on the album.

"Fingers"

This song is quite repetitive to me, but I'm not complaining. It is one of the most generic songs on the album, and, in the beginning, I started to love it, but towards the end, the songs just drowned in the back of my head, and I had forgotten about them by the time the next song came on.

8.5 out of 10

I think I would give this album a solid 8.5 out of 10 considering it's not my preferred genre of music I found myself enjoying it.
