Growing up, I listened to music constantly and so did my family. My mom was the mom who woke up early on Saturdays and cranked the tunes extremely loud while she danced around cleaned the house all day long. That energy and excitement for something. Growing up music helped me through a lot of things I was going through. My mom is obsessed with music and so is my sister, only she got the vocal abilities and neither me nor my mom were fortunate enough to get. So, its been a blast watching her perfect her singing abilities. If I needed to be pumped up for a game or to go the gym, music was there. If I needed to listen to a song to put me in a dance party type of mood when I was sad, music was there.

Being young and in college I take road trips constantly when I have a free moment from classes and the piles of homework every college student is drowning in. I live in-between a ton of major cities so road tripping with my friends has always been something we keep as an option on our weekend agendas. My favorite past time is hiking. Living in Montana there is never a time when you have absolutely nothing to do. Buying a pair of nice wireless headphones so I can take my music everywhere I go without keeping my phone with in my pocket was the best purchase I have and or ever will make. I'm always out adventuring and exploring the beautiful place we humans get to inhabit, so what helps go along with that? A road trip playlist.

This playlist contains upbeat rap songs like "God's Plan" by Drake, that make you feel unstoppable but also slow songs you can sing loud with the windows down like "Consequences" by Camila Cabello. I love the variety when I’m driving so it’s not the same thing over and over.

Never underestimate the healing power of listening to your favorite music on full blast while dancing around the house like an idiot.

I listen to music all day long. I listen when I'm getting ready for work, in the car, cleaning. Anytime there is an appropriate time to listen that's what I'm doing. I learned recently some crazy facts that go along with listening to music.

One: The chills you get when you listen to music is mostly caused by the brain releasing dopamine while anticipating the peak moment of a song.

A feel-good chemical released by the brain is dopamine. The reason music has been around since the beginning of human history in all civilizations is because of this finding.

Two: Listening to music while exercising can significantly improve your work-out performance.

I love listening to music when I am doing cardio or weight training. It motivates me and keeps me going and gives me the energy I need to keep me going. Also if you’re the type to be insecure in the gym and care what people think of you, having a awesome playlist could help that as well. Get in your own head and forget about them.

Three: An emotional attachment could be the reason for your favorite song choice.

Have you ever listened to a certain song and one person pops in your mind? That could be the reason you love that song. I know personally I love certain songs because in a matter of seconds it brings me to certain time in my life or a certain person.

Overall though my favorite time to listen to music is long road trips and that is why I created this playlist for you. Enjoy!
